About
Valentina Giacomini is an Italian photographer based in Rome.
Japanologist, she graduated in Language, Culture and Society of Eastern Asia at Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
Valentina began to work in photography in the naturalistic field continuing with portrait photography and reportage.
Her work All Roads Lead to Edo inspired by Utagawa Hiroshige’s paintings, is a photographic journey alongside the ancient Tōkaidō, the main road that linked Kyoto to Tokyo.
The exhibition All Roads Lead to Edo was hosted by the Botanical Garden Museum of Rome, the Civic Museum of Oriental Art in Trieste and the General Consulate of Japan in Milan.
